The Kentucky Lake Detailer Who Comes to Your Dock

Kentucky Lake gets brutal on boats. Brown waterline staining from the tannin-rich water. UV that turns gel coat chalky in two seasons. Tree sap, bird droppings, and the constant moisture cycle that bakes mildew into the upholstery. Keeping a boat looking right requires more than a yearly wax-and-wipe.

We’re a Paris, TN-based marine detailer focused on the TN side of Kentucky Lake. We handle full wash and detail, marine ceramic coating, oxidation removal and gel-coat restoration, interior detailing, pontoon detailing, fiberglass and gel coat repair, and mobile detailing at your slip. We work Paris, Buchanan, Springville, Big Sandy, Mansard Island, and all the Henry County lake-access areas.

Quotes are free. Call (731) 982-2336 with your boat make, length, slip location, and what you’re wanting done.

What We Do

From a once-a-season exterior wash to a multi-day oxidation restoration that brings a faded boat back to life — marine detailing built for Kentucky Lake conditions.

Boat Wash & Full Detail on Kentucky Lake

Full exterior wash with marine-safe soap, hull cleaning to lift the brown waterline stain that builds up on Kentucky Lake, hand-dry, vinyl conditioning, and a full interior wipe-down. The standard package most lake-home owners book twice a season. Spring opening detail and fall closing detail are the most common bookings.

Marine Ceramic Coating on Kentucky Lake

Pro-grade marine ceramic coating bonded to the gel coat. Protects against UV fade (the #1 cause of dulling on Kentucky Lake), waterline staining, bird droppings, and tree-sap drops. 1–3 year service life depending on the product, far better than wax. Costs more upfront but the savings on wax-and-buff cycles add up fast.

Oxidation Removal & Compound on Kentucky Lake

Multi-stage cut and polish to remove the chalky white oxidation that takes over older gel coat after a few seasons in the sun. We can usually save a boat that looks “done” without paint — bringing the original color and shine back. Typically followed by a sealant or ceramic coat to protect the work.

Interior Detailing on Kentucky Lake

Full interior service: vinyl deep-clean and conditioning (the upholstery on Kentucky Lake boats gets brutal sun), carpet shampoo, head cleaning, gel coat interior, all wood treated. The interior often makes the bigger visual difference than the exterior. For closing detail, we also do mildew prevention treatments.

Pontoon Boat Detailing on Kentucky Lake

Pontoons need different work than runabouts. The aluminum tubes get tannin stains and waterline scum that takes acid-wash treatment. The deck carpet (or vinyl flooring on newer pontoons) needs deep cleaning. The furniture vinyl ages fast in sun. We specialize in pontoon detailing and know the brand-specific tricks for Bennington, Bentley, Premier, and Sun Tracker.

Fiberglass & Gel Coat Repair on Kentucky Lake

Dock rash, prop strike, trailer scrape, drop-anchor dings — small to medium gel coat damage we can usually repair without painting the whole panel. Color-matched gel coat, wet-sanded and buffed to blend with the surrounding finish. Bigger structural fiberglass damage we refer to a partner shop.

Why Kentucky Lake Owners Call Us

Built for Kentucky Lake Conditions

The brown waterline stain on this lake takes the right approach to lift without damaging gel coat. We know the water, we know the dock fungus that grows on hulls here, and we know what works. Generic detailers from out of the area don’t.

Mobile Dock Service

You don’t have to pull the boat. We bring water, power, equipment, and supplies to your slip. 95% of the work we do at our shop, we can do at your dock. Especially useful for big cruisers, pontoons that are a hassle to trailer, and absentee owners.

Absentee-Owner Friendly

Lake home but you live in Nashville, Memphis, or Atlanta? We coordinate with marina staff or your dockmate, do the work, and send photo documentation with the invoice. You don’t have to be there.

Spring Opening, Fall Closing

The two most important details of the season. Spring opening: clean off winter storage gunk, condition vinyl that’s stiffened up, treat for mildew. Fall closing: deep wash, full vinyl protection, mildew prevention, ready to put away for winter. Most owners book both.

Ceramic Beats Wax

If you’re still wax-and-buffing every spring, you’re working harder than you need to. A pro-grade marine ceramic coat lasts 1–3 years and protects much better than wax. We’ll show you the per-year cost comparison.

Honest About Restoration

We can save a boat from oxidation, gel-coat fade, and dock rash — but there’s a point where painting or buying new is the right call. We tell you straight which side of that line your boat is on.

What Kentucky Lake Owners Say

“Booked them for a spring opening detail at our slip in Buchanan. Came on the dock, did everything, sent photos to my phone before I’d even gotten down to the lake. Now I just book the same spring and fall package every year.”

— Greg N., Buchanan / Nashville

“Our 2010 pontoon looked done. Chalky, faded, tubes had brown rings I couldn’t get off no matter what. They did a full restore over two days and it looked nearly new. Fair price for what it took.”

— Cindy P., Paris

“Had them ceramic-coat our cruiser two years ago. Two seasons in and the gel coat still beads water like it was new. Already booked them to come refresh the coating this fall.”

— Marcus T., Mansard Island

Common Kentucky Lake Boat Detailing Questions

How often should I detail my boat?

Most Kentucky Lake owners book twice a season: spring opening (when you pull the cover off) and fall closing (before you put it away). Mid-season touch-ups optional, often paired with a quick interior refresh. Boats that stay on the water year-round need more frequent attention.

Do you really come to the dock?

Yes. We bring water, power, equipment, and supplies. We work at marinas (with their permission), on private docks, and on covered lifts. About 80% of our work is on-the-water mobile.

Is ceramic coating worth it?

If you keep your boat for more than 2–3 years and care how it looks, yes. A pro marine ceramic coat lasts 1–3 years and protects far better than wax. The math: 3 years of wax cycles vs. one ceramic coat is usually a wash on cost, with much better appearance and protection.

How much does boat detailing cost?

Depends on boat length, condition, services included, and access. A 20-ft runabout spring detail is much cheaper than a 35-ft cruiser oxidation restoration. We quote in writing after we know the specifics. Here’s how our quotes work.
