Free Boat Detailing Quotes
Every boat, every dock, every condition is different. So every quote we give is custom — and free. Here’s how we figure a fair price.
Why We Don’t Publish a Price List
Boat detailing pricing depends on too many things for a flat rate to be honest. Length, type, condition, services included, location, access, and ownership situation all move the number. A 20-ft pontoon spring detail at a covered slip is a very different job from a 35-ft cruiser oxidation restoration on a private dock with no power.
So we do the next-best thing: we ask about your boat, recommend the right service package, and give you a written quote. Free, no obligation, no pressure.
What Affects the Price
- Boat length — the main factor; most services are priced per-foot
- Boat type — pontoon vs. runabout vs. cruiser vs. yacht; each has different work needs
- Condition — annual maintenance vs. neglected restoration is dramatically different
- Services included — exterior only, full interior, ceramic coating, gel coat repair, etc.
- Access — covered slip with water and power (easiest) vs. open slip vs. private dock without utilities
- Location — close marinas vs. longer-route lake-house dock
- Recurring vs. one-off — annual contracts cost less per visit than one-off jobs
- Absentee-owner workflow — photo documentation and remote coordination usually included at no extra cost for established customers
What to Expect From a Quote
- You call or message us. Tell us boat make, model, length, slip location, and what you want done.
- We assess. For nearby boats, often a quick dock visit. For absentee owners and rough work, photos work.
- We recommend a service package. Sometimes we’ll suggest a different scope than what you asked for if it makes sense.
- We give a written quote. All items listed: service, materials, access plan, target window.
- You decide. No pressure either way.
- We schedule the work. Spring fills fast; off-season usually within a week.
How We Handle Payment
For typical jobs, payment on completion. For multi-day work (oxidation restoration, ceramic coating), half at scheduling and balance on completion. Absentee owners pay via credit card or check after receiving the photo set and invoice. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
Recurring Service Plans
Most lake-home owners prefer set-it-and-forget-it. We offer annual contracts with spring opening and fall closing automatically scheduled. We reach out a couple weeks before each visit, do the work, and email the report. Slightly cheaper per visit than one-off bookings.
